Whiteline control arm bushings?

Postby boosted86 » Wed Feb 27, 2013 12:13 pm

Does anyone know where I could get Whiteline products in the US? Ive tried their three dealers and deftmotion and noones got them..
Orr if energy/prothane makes comparable products for control arms and the front tension rod bushings?
Thanks!

Are they actually a different size than the stock bushings? I could see the anti-roll bars being an issue with the different diameter, but otherwise you should be golden. Prothane makes a 14, 16, 21 and 22mm anti-roll bushing for the 86, nothing else that I can see.

Check with PDM Racing in British Columbia. I do believe they are a Whiteline dealer and they do ship to the US. http://www.pdm-racing.com

Or just measure the bushings and look for something close from Prothane. If you can't find something exact, get something close and trim them or stick them on the lathe. They make tons of poly bushings in nearly every shape and size imaginable.

I emailed pdm so I'll see what they say. If not I just may go with prothanes, but every picture I find of Prothane bushings its without the metal sleeve like Whitelines, so do they press into the stock metal sleeve or are they just not pictured?

Prothane bushings come with the inner sleeve that the bolt goes through. When you remove the old bushing, just be careful not to press out the sleeve that goes through the arm and you can reuse it. There is no reason to replace it unless there is some problem with it. I've done 3 sets of arms and have never had the tube in the lca come out.

Yeah Ive already pressed the sleeves out since I planned on getting Whitelines. I still have them so I could press them back, but Im waiting on an email from PDM about Whitelines now
