Anyone running the Exedy stage 2 clutch?

Well, it is time to replace the clutch. I am debating OEM or stepping up to the exedy. The car running the 16v with hot cams, koshimizu exhaust manifold, remapped ecu.

Anyone that has driven the exedy, how do you like it? How does it compare to OEM?

Thanks!

Bueller? I may just end up compromising with the Exedy stage 1.

exedy stage 2 is a great clutch. I loved mine on my SR. great feeling and exedy is obviously one of the best clutch manufacturers there is.

I would recommend this clutch to anyone.

I wouldn't recommend a puck clutch for street use. It has that annoying shutter every time you take off. If its a solid disk it will be fine. Another thing to stay away from is unsprung clutches for street use. But to each his own. If you do decide to get the stage 2 let us know what you think. This is all just my opinion,

I'm running stage 2 with thick pads on turbo 4age with about 300 hp and unknown torque but got to be around 200 plus cause im running on high compression 10.1.First and second gears tends to slip, this clutch kit hold about 170 ftq so for mild na motor like yours should be fine. The pedal feel of this clutch is like the stock one ,i think the pressure plate is just like oem and the clutch disc ceramic path gives it the extra holding strength.

exedy stage 2 is not an aggressive feeling clutch at all and feels great for street driving, no shudder or harsh engagement, just a nice solid "direct" feel with a little heavier pedal (which I like).

i hate mushy soft stock pedal feel.

Well, I am sold. I'll order this someplace like Amazon with fast shipping. I've already got a 10lb flywheel and arp bolts on the way.

I'm thinking of buying a stage 2 also. I wanted to buy a lighten flywheel from eBay,XTD 9 lbs, has anyone running that same flywheel? How is it and is it worth it?

I had a fidanza and most of my friends have also had them and we've all loved them. Can't speak for xtd. IIRC fidanza jams arent very expensive either.

I have xtd 9lbs flywheel as well .For heavy street use i wouldnt recommended feel like you lose alot of low end torque and so rpm must be increased between low gear shifts on the other end the engine rev quicker.Use a black top 20v flywheel there 14 or so pounds about for 4 pounds less than stock 16v.

Well, so far the clutch is pretty easy to drive on. It feels pretty light pedal pressure wise, much lighter than the OEM looking one that came out. I haven't started being hard on the car since it is the break in period.
