new injectors for the 16v?!

Postby zerosktz » Wed Jan 09, 2013 9:02 pm

hey guys,

another help thread lol sorry haha

anyways so a while back i bought a used 16v and installed it in my 86 (which is now running) so i'm looking to give it a slight overhaul/some maintenance. specifically i'm looking to replace all the injectors (including the cold start injector) for the now stock 4AGE 16v. anyone know anywhere online where i can buy all of them in a set or individually? my engine was supposedly repaired and had its piston rings replaced btw. if anybody has any other recomendations for a just purchased used engine i´d love to hear them (new gaskets, spark plugs etc anything besides oil, which i obviously replaced lol). thanks a lot guys.

this is what i found online looking for new injectors for the 4age 16v or the ae86 guys:

bostech:
http://www.stockwiseauto.com/product_in ... e/googleps

not so sure of these since the description says for both the sohc and dohc 1.6 corolla

http://www.carpartswarehouse.com/parts/35-01134.html

these supposedly are for the dodge colt and 85 corolla??? once again, not sure about these.

http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/mak,TOYOT ... 2BInjector

these on rock auto look legit. leaning towards the standard motors ones for $40.00. part number matches toyota part number for injectors.

http://www.rhdjapan.com/sard-210cc-fuel ... ae92-57459

also found these sards injectors on rhdjapan... but they are way out of my budget! these are probably like hardcore racing injectors or something?

any suggestions? i would hate to buy the wrong injectors guys. thanks for the help!

If the injectors are not smashed up or anything, I like to have them cleaned and reconditioned instead of buying "new" ones re-conditioned who knows where..... Injectors last a pretty long time in these cars.

I recommend these guys: http://www.mrinjector.us

I sent them my 4 injector + the cold start injector and they cleaned them all. They also replace items such as o-rings, filters , and pintle caps too. Almost like brand new injectors. You get a before & after flow chart too.

check em out

also agree with getting your injectors cleaned... I've had good success with RC Engineering - http://www.rceng.com/Fuel-Injector-Cleaning-P43C0.aspx

Third for getting the injectors cleaned. I used http://www.witchhunter.com/ and was quite happy with the quality, price, and turnaround time.

the thing is guys, me and the car are actually located in south america, so it's kinda hard to send my injectors out to the states to get cleaned, especially since theres a ban on incoming used parts in peru. (no used parts can come in)

i'm gonna try and look for someone local then that can hopefully do the injector cleaning.

i'll let you guys know.

thanks!

I agree with trying to get them cleaned but if that doesn't work out I can get you RC, DW and likely other injectors. Might even be able to get new Denso's but they aren't cheap.

I just sent my injectors to Mr. Injector and should have them back sometime next week. I'm really interested in seeing how much of a difference it will make.
