I've look around the net and all I've found was some Japanese sites with a couple of trd springs but I'm kinda skeptical about buying from them. I have 6.5kg/mm coilovers on the front so I'm looking for something around 4.7kg/mm for the rear. I'm from Puerto Rico so buying local is a no go, and t3 list their swift springs as out of stock. This is the best I've found so far.

Any one has ever bought from them?
[Q] Where to buy rear springs?
Re: [Q] Where to buy rear springs?
According to the trdparts.jp website only the 5.1 and 6 kg/mm rear springs are still available (I have no idea if their website is up to date). I've been trying to get a set of rear 5.1's for a few weeks now without any luck. My stateside Toyota dealer hookup can't get a straight answer on them, and still no response from j-land on their availability.
A few other ae86 Japanese tuners also sell rear springs but they're always on backorder.
AJPS (site vendor) sells custom springs to your specifications. The ajps springs are tested to meet the rate spec (TRD's supposedly are all softer than advertised). The only problem is these springs are a little more expensive since they're custom made, and shipping halfway across the world isn't cheap. Here's a link: http://www.ajps.com.au/parts/motorsport_springs.php

Re: [Q] Where to buy rear springs?
I also found around http://www.rhdjapan.com/trd-racing-spri ... ae86-65771 they may be closer to what you need, but the again its from Japan so the shipping... Those AJPS look nice but they are a bit steep on the price. I found a site somewhere a month or so ago where you could buy custom Swift spring here in the states but I can't seem to find it now. My problem with custom springs is that I wouldn't now how to order them. All I know id that I need something around 4.7kg/mm and about 1.5 inch drop but how can I accomplish that drop with that rate? What springs dimensions should I use?
Re: [Q] Where to buy rear springs?
Interesting. Yeah those are 5.5 kg/mm based on the description/part # (they have the wrong spring pictured). If I can't get the 5.1 I may consider those, thanks.
Re: [Q] Where to buy rear springs?
No problem. I might end buying those. I don't know how are they gonna be with my 6.5kg/mm coilovers on the front tho. I need some help here I'm a total noob when it comes to suspensions. So far I got rear AW10 shocks for the front and 02 Camaro for the rear, (Yes this is a budget build lol) so idk if 5.5kg/mm on the rear is gonna be any good :/
Re: [Q] Where to buy rear springs?
Usually people do a 3:2 or 4:3 ratio f/r, but it's a matter of preference and every vehicle setup is different (corner weights, tires, type of bushings, etc.)
Again, supposedly the trd springs are softer than advertised. Someone claimed to test a 6 kg/mm rear trd and it was actually only 4.8 kg/mm.
I think 6.5f/5.5r would be fine for the car. However, I have no idea if they will match up good to those shocks.

Re: [Q] Where to buy rear springs?
You can also use 5.5" x 8" front coil springs for dirt track cars. You'll need to weld a keeper on the spring perches (axle side). The only downfall is it is usually very high rates available, but I'm sure if you contacted some of the manufacturers they'd make you a custom set, although I don't know what they'd call for on the price.
Re: [Q] Where to buy rear springs?
^Very interesting. Those would be really low on an ae86 with 8" free length though.
I completely forgot about those. Thank you for posting.

Whats the length for a TRD 6k, uncut? anyone?
5.5" diameter springs are available in a ton of different lengths.

Not sure on the trd 6k, but the trd 5.1k rears I used to have measured roughly 233 mm free length. The diameter was roughly 133 mm.

Re: [Q] Where to buy rear springs?
thats even more helpful as i was looking at springs in the 5k range. so roughly 9.25" tall and 5.25" I.D. or O.D.. is that inside diameter or the O.D.?
