How to manually adjust sunroof

Postby truenoboy » Sun Nov 03, 2013 5:11 pm

Anybody know how to manually adjust the sunroof track? I'm replacing my sunroof panel and the 2 back hinges don't line up. I'm in the middle of a restore right now, so the car is not fully wired for me to use the electric switch.

Did you pull the track out or just unbolt the panel? There are shim plates that you use to raise or lower the level of the panel to match the roof. Maybe you need more or less of those?

I removed just the panel. I don't need to adjust the hight, I need to adjust the track position itself so it can line up for me to bolt the panel back in. It looks like the track was too far forward when I removed the old rusted panel.

This is probably easier than trying to help you troubleshoot things verbally.
