Spoiler Hardware

Postby truenoboy » Wed Nov 20, 2013 6:08 pm

Has anybody installed the OEM spoiler with any hardware other than the stock clips? If not, anyone know how much of each clip is needed? I know there are 2 different types of clips, but don't how many of each are needed.

The oem spoilers are a combination of pop clips and bolts with retention nuts. The nuts are square shaped and slide into little channels under the spoiler. I had a hatch spoiler secured by just the 3 nuts/bolts (1 in the center and 1 on each end).

Do you by chance know where I can get the square nuts from? I have a spoiler but no hardware, so need to figure out how I'm going to get this thing on.

I'd bring it to Ace Hardware, etc. and see if they have anything close. You just need to find a square nut that fits the little channel, then find a bolt with matching threads.

It doesn't look like Toyota sells the nuts separately, unless they come with the bolts which is a long shot. The bolt part number is 9338316010.
