I am adding a shopping cart to my site with access to many aftermarket products. I am adding clutches for the AW11 and I started wondering if I should make sure the AE86 was covered too. Right now I am focussing on ACT and I am trying to be very competitive on pricing. For the most part if I can't be competitive with Ebay or other lowball sites I'm not wasting my time to put it on mine. With ACT clutches it is looking like I will be able to be very competitive.
So do the RWD trans take the same clutch as the FWD cars? What clutch options are there? Do different years run the same 200mm and 212mm as the AW11 or are their other options, other splines or other differences I need to be aware of?
How about flywheels?

Re: Interest in clutches
from what i have noticed there is no difference between FWD and RWD clutch kits. but you have to use the matching pressure plate for it to bolt to the flywheel apparently. check out the FW differences and you can tell why the Pplates would have to be differen. Ill take a pic of the 2 clutches i have when i get home. one is a ae86 and one is a large port ae92

Re: Interest in clutches
Just one note. The GZE FW at least on the FR/MR trans is bigger than either NA FW. Something like 225mm.
So the AE86 was all 200mm stock and can use the same disk and PP as the early AW11, is that correct?
They can switch to a 212 FW, PP and disk same as the AW11 right?
ACT does not offer any options for the GZE. They said because there was never the demand. This seemed pretty surprising to me.

200 and 212 are the sizes that fit inside the T50 bellhousing.
The key difference between fwd and rwd is the input shaft idler bearing that slips in the crank for use with ther T50... as you know no such bearing is needed for the "C" fwd transaxles

Re: Interest in clutches
Great, thanks.
If there are any clutch requests for me to try to add to my site post them up here.
