PA: 1985 Corolla SR5 coupe - cheap!

Postby hachigo87 » Thu Jul 10, 2014 3:40 pm

Up for sale is my 1985 Toyota Corolla SR5, also known as the AE86 by chassis code. The car is still a bone stock SR5 with the single cam 4AC under the hood but a 4AGE twin cam swap is pretty straight forward among plenty of other countless engine swap options. I was planning on fixing this up and having it as a street legal track car but life has gotten in the way and it must go.

I was going to either swap over another radiator support or just tube the front end and drive the car. The previous owner was driving it up until he wrecked it, the car starts right up, runs and drives fine from what I could tell just moving it around the yard.

I have a handful of spare parts for these cars including most everything needed to get this back on the road. For the right price I do have a pair of quarter panels and rockers that are all in good shape. Car has a clean title as well! Feel free to get a hold of me with any questions or offers, I hate to get rid of this but it needs to go asap, make me a reasonable offer and tow it home!

$800 OBO No Trades!

Pros:
Recently rebuilt 4AC
Weber 32/36 carb
GT-S seats
GT-S/MK2 Supra "Pizza Cutter" wheels
Factory non-A/C car
Working sunroof
Underneath looks solid and relatively rust free

Cons:
Needs a slave and/or master cylinder
The obvious damage in the front end
Rocker panels have been repaired but could use redone
Passenger rear quarter panel has also been repaired but can either be lived with or replaced
Paintjob is mediocre at best but would probably come off with a pressure washer from the looks of it

I'm extremely flexible but I know how people love to low ball hence the price being what it is. I obviously did not expect to get my asking price tomorrow but I am willing to negotiate as I just want to move the car and I'm sitting on enough parts for these cars as it is

I think you should probably put a space between "800" and "OBO" that guy probably thought you were asking 8grand for it, which is crazy money. Just tryin to help! :)

I've driven it around the yard a few times, obviously needs the radiator installed to really go much further. Clutch works maybe 5% of the time so it's either a bad master and/or slave cylinder.
