Need to figure out wiring for 22R/5M ignitor to use on my 16V 4AGE

I am using a coil/igniter combo off of a 5M / 22R engine, specific part number 90919-02106

This setup was working with my 4AGE but with a different ECU (off a Mazda 323 Turbo). From the research I have been doing, these are what the wires off the igniter are for:

BROWN - To Coil +
BLACK - To Coil -
RED - To Dizzy Pickup + Wire
WHITE - To Dizzy Pickup - Wire
YELLOW - Tach Connection

Previously with the Mazda 323 ECU, the red and white wires off the igniter were connected to the red and white wires off the distributor plug. The brown wire is wired to the ignition and the black wire went to that ECU's ignition signal pin, which is only one pin.

I have now sourced the proper 4AGE OEM ECU and after wiring it up, I get no spark. This is how I have it wired to the 4AGE ECU.

IGNITER:
BROWN - To Coil + (and +12V IGNITION)
BLACK - To Coil - (and NE on ECU)
RED - To Dizzy Pickup + (IGT on ECU)
WHITE - To Dizzy Pickup - (IGF on ECU)
YELLOW - Tach Connection

DISTRIBUTOR
RED + Wire (G+ on ECU)
WHITE - Wire (G- on ECU)


Has anyone done this mod? Do I have the wiring wrong? Are there other things I need to check for the coil and igniter to work? (for example, i checked the ground points, fuel injectors and AFM are wired up). I am getting no spark with how it's wired.

Hey, I REALLY appreciate the help. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is if the wires off the igniter are correct as far as what each one is for.

For better context, the igniter does not have the factory plugs and I AM NOT using the OEM engine harness, therefore i cannot go simply by the wire colors off the manuals. I am running my own loom from the wires off the igniter to the ECU itself.

This may take a bit of untangling To sort this out (if it can be sorted) we need to identify
the type of distributor and type of ECU as Toyota had several different types. So...

1. Going by the type of coil-igniter you have, it may have worked with a distributor containing
a single trigger wheel and pickup. Please look inside the distributor and confirm what you have.

2. Older 4AGE ECU's had a couple of versions, some where the distributor was only wired to the
igniter, some where it was only wired to the ECU, and some where it was wired to both. If you
have two G pins and a Ne pin on the ECU then you will need a distributor with two trigger
wheels and pickups.

The purpose of the ECU pins is as follows...
Ne is an RPM signal to tell the ECU the engine speed
G (or G1) is the crank position signal
G- is the sensor ground for the triggers
IGt is the 5V signal from the ECU to the igniter to fire the coil
IGf is a confirmation signal from the igniter to the ECU that an ignition event has occurred

Basically, if your distributor only has a single trigger wheel you will need to find one with two
trigger wheels. And while you are doing that see if you can pick up a coil and igniter from an
AE86... it will make the whole process a lot easier Like this...
