for some time now i have had this well preserved 1986 corolla sr5. i bought the car with no intentions of a gts swap or drifting it. simply for dd, it has been just that and i can say that it has been the most reliable corolla i've yet to have. i have a gts as a track car and when i saw this up for sale i just had to have it. i bought the car and did a couple things to it simple things nothing crazy. now its time to part ways as my other car is demanding more parts and money is tight. the car is og ae86... not ae88 or ae85. its blue in color , that light blue 86 color can't remember the name. so here i go
GOODS:
strong 4ac motor with recent carb rebuild along with water pump and alternator.
gts rear end with oem lsd that was rebuilt by weir performance (done by previous owner)
kouki gts black checkered interior front and rear seats and front door panels.... awesome condition missing rear matching qtr panels.
brand new kyb oem struts in the front (less then 1k miles on them
rear tockiko blues with less than 5k miles on them
all black dash with only one small crack on it.(other dash components are black and in awesome condition.
blows hot air and ac is just missing the front lines and a/c condenser which i have.(don't have the lines)
celica supras wrapped in flaken ziex tires with plenty of life left.
kouki smoked eye lids
radio works well
i swapped the muffler for this megan one that i had in hand and honestly i love the sound!!!
no problems with transmission at all ( no grinds or pops)
miles on chasis and motor 185k miles
mechanically the car needs nothing , its turn key and go.. never over heated and i've never had any problems with it. i bought the car from a guy who was going to do a gts swap on it but never did. he got it off and old man who garaged it and maintenanced it all the time literally you pop the hood and the bay is clean, no spilt or leaking oil... no oil residue on anything.... no leaks!!!
paint is a little faded but over all not bad , one side looks like they tried to wet sand it or something but every other thing is still good. rear trunk carpet still in and factory spare is there as well.
im asking 2300 as this car is all intact unmolested un drifted un everything lol!!!!!
normally these cars are all beat or already in the middle of the gts swap but this one is reliable and ready to go( for this intrested in making this a drift car....well thats your choice lol i wouldn't touch it reason why i left it as is.) i love this car i hate to see it go but i need the cash for my other 86 and i have truck as a dd in this car just sit holding parking spaces for my work truck.
please no low ballers or young kids with 500 dollars in hand... my asking price is 2300 obo (wont go much lower really)
